Nero was started by Inano Lyons in 2001. Inano grew up on a pearl farm in the Northern Cook Islands, providing Nero Ltd with an expert understanding of South Sea Black Pearls.

Nero represented Britain at the 2002, 50th FCEM Congress of Women Entrepreneurs in St. Petersburg, Russia and won the international award for “Most Original New Business”.

Inano Lyons was short listed in the “Entrepreneur” section of 2003 European Women of Achievement Awards.
